Ceramiche Zonta Luigi is a young, small firm specialized in Venetian ceramics masks, sited near Marostica (Veneto - Italy).

The masks are baked by a particular treatment called "terzo fuoco".
It is a laborious process that gives a product of high quality and long durability.
It requires a first baking at 1020°C,which converts clay into terracotta.
Then the masks are fully hand decorated with water paints extracted from oxyde minerals.  The design is original or got from the ceramics tradition of '700 of the ancient Venetian "Serenissima" republic.

The pieces is then recovered with "crystalline" paint.

After that it glazes,following a second baking at 1000°c.

The masks are ready to be decorated with pure gold and then are baked for the third time at 720°C .

Only after all this treatment the product is finished and the particular laborious process guarantees an excellent original and fully handmade product.
